Group shot on our beach day!
Memorial Day weekend always has a special place in my heart, especially these past few years.
Not only is it a day to remember those who fought to bring us freedom, but it is when we have our annual college conference.

I have been going to camp on St. Simons Island for 12 years. Each time I come back it brings joy to my heart.
We had 65 college athletes from at least 10 different universities attend this year. In addition to competing and learning from some of the best chaplains in the southeast, they had the chance to get to know other christian athletes around the country.
For us as chaplains, we got to do camp a little differently this year. We got to just experience it with our own huddle and a more laid back agenda. It was so refreshing to just get to know other chaplains and spend time talking about the things in our job that ignite our soul or that we struggle with.
We got to just be real people who happen to be chaplains together.

This year’s theme for FCA camp is ONE. The verse that ties into it is from Philippians:
Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News. [Philippians 1:27]
So this year we focused on unity and being one body of Christ. Join us in this mentality as we go through a summer of camp season, but also into next school year.
Thank you always for your love and support.
